19th CENTURY WHIPPING by ArtBoy62 19th CENTURY WHIPPING by ArtBoy62
Scene from a French kids movie. There are 3 spanking scenes, One as the leading boy's aunt / mother turns him over in bed and spanks his bare bottom, One where the main boy is seen being whipped by his aunt through a candle lit window, this one, where a headmaster whips a line of naughty boys while other boys wait their turn... There is a scene where the lead boy shows his naked, well whipped behind on top of a carriage with the whole village looking on... Close ups of old ladies cackling etc. It's on YouTube if you can find it.

Scène du film "Un Bon Petit Diable" réalisé par Jean-Claude Brialy sortie en 1983, d'après le livre éponyme de la Comtesse de Ségur.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Ce film m'avait beaucoup troublé dans mon enfance!

Comme les histoires de la Comtesse de Ségur.

It's a golden oldie alright... Made at a time when ripe humour and spanking bare boy bottoms was deemed a fit and proper subject for ALL audiences...

Now the planet has been taken over by 'Brave New World' humanoids who want to ban the corrupting influence of ripe naked peaches ...

And don't dare ask them why... They'll say it's to protect impressionable minds... What do you expect from them... Logic?

I just like turning up a good scene now and then these days from a time before they started editing my Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry cartoons. I mean this stuff happened and usually in believable and even justifiable context, the fact that I just find enjoyment in the subject makes it a little more entertaining to me  There's nothing wrong with me. I don't come from a bad background, I don't commit crimes or devious acts, I just have preferences for my fiction that I find enjoyment in.

The problem with some otherwise intelligent people is, they equate the kind of thing that happens in fiction with the kind of thing that happens in real life and make a tenuous link between the two.

Current Example... Two terrorist lunatics attacked a man with butcher knives and meat axes... They hacked the man to death in London a few days ago. In the middle of the street, encouraging bystanders to record their heinous crime on their mobile phones/cameras. The cops turned up and shot them both like the mad dogs they were...

Now I've seen Samurai sword whielding nut jobs do the same thing on prime time TV and everyone sees it as good wholesome TV for the kiddies... especially when all that pressurised blood squirts out all over the place.

Question: Is there any connection between said London lunies butchering an innocent human being in the high street and some action actor butchering a truck load of fictitious baddies on a movie set?

My initial analysis...

The violent madman will always seek convenient excuses for this violent crimes...
This time it's imagined religious persecution... I say imagined because there are lots of mosques in London and every Moslem can practice his faith freely and without hinderence from anyone...

The religious persecution the killer spoke of is in his own head and nowhere else.

Fiction, however accurately it is based on reality is still only fiction... Theatrical blood... 'Tomato ketchup' I called it as a kid... Is not real blood... any sane person can grasp this fact.

Censorship is not a defence against the criminally violent luny... There were insane crimes like the one in London long before books, movies and the internet was available to the general public...

Illiterate medieval killers would say... "I heard a voice and it told me hack that man to death."

Conclusion: There is no defence against violent nut jobs ... anti social or criminal behaviour of any kind.

Let sane people read and see what the hell they like... They'll simply process it like a sane person... Why behave as if everyone is potentially criminal or insane...

It's not fair... it's not even logical.

Meh, I know some people will judge based on what their moral preference is. I am morally inclined to be at least polite and friendly, I am NOT a serial killer, I am NOT a thief and I am NOT a sexual deviant or violent human being. That doesn't mean, that I don't take enjoyment in seeing, hearing, reading and even writing about it as long as it's fictional. When it crosses the border from fiction to reality, I have a strong moral reaction to that that is negative, but if it's all make believe, I'm perfectly fine and am even entertained.
